Selection of MVR evaporator

Selection of MVR evaporator

The following factors shall be taken into account when selecting the type.

  1. Viscosity of solution
The variation range of solution viscosity in the evaporation process is the primary factor to be considered in type selection.
  2. Thermal stability of solution
When the solution that is easy to decompose, polymerize and scale is evaporated after being heated for a long time, the plate evaporator with less stagnant material and short residence time shall be adopted.
  3. Solution with crystal precipitation
For the solution with crystal precipitation during evaporation, external heating evaporator or forced circulation evaporator shall be adopted.
  4. 4.Foaming solution
The easily foaming solution will generate a large number of bubbles that are not easily broken when they are evaporated. It will fill up the whole separation chamber and discharge with the two steam. Not only will the material be lost, but also the condenser will be polluted. External heating evaporator, forced circulation evaporator or rising film evaporator should be used to evaporate this solution. If the central circulation tube evaporator and plate evaporator are designed to be larger, they can also be used for the evaporation of this solution.
  5. Corrosive solution
When evaporating corrosive solution, it shall be made of special materials, or the inner wall shall be lined with corrosion-resistant materials.
  6. Solution easy to scale
No matter what kind of solution is evaporated, there will always be dirt on the heat transfer surface after the evaporator is used for a long time. The thermal conductivity of the scale layer is small, so for the solution easy to scale, it should be considered to select the evaporator which is easy to clean and has high solution circulation speed.
