Multi-effect evaporation system converted to MVR

Many older plants use multi-effect evaporation systems, which utilize steam as a heat source. This results in high operating costs and diminishing market competitiveness. Reinstalling an MVR evaporation system involves significant investment costs and a long payback period. Furthermore, the feasibility of converting older systems to MVR systems and the expected performance after the conversion are uncertain, posing a high risk.
KaoJie Group boasts a professional technical team that has successfully upgraded numerous aging evaporation systems, replacing steam energy consumption with electricity, significantly reducing operating costs. Furthermore, most of the existing evaporators and separators are reused, eliminating the need for replacement and further reducing customer investment costs. KaoJie Group has successfully implemented multiple MVR (Multi-Volume Reduction) systems with 100% energy efficiency. We are now sharing our upgrade strategy with you.
Transformation ideas:
1. Reuse existing evaporators, separators, pumps, and valves as much as possible to reduce customer investment costs.
2: For different materials, first conduct experiments on a laboratory rotary evaporator to determine the basic parameters such as material viscosity and boiling point elevation.
3. Develop different modification plans for different materials to minimize operating costs with minimal changes.
4. A double-effect evaporation system can be modified into a double-effect MVR, with the steam connection method (series or parallel) selected based on the boiling point elevation of the material. 5. A triple-effect evaporation system can be modified into a 2+1+MVR or a double-effect MVR. If the boiling point elevation is high, the material concentration should be increased as much as possible. The remaining small portion of concentrated material can be processed using a single-effect evaporator, thus reducing overall operating costs.
6: The four-effect evaporation system can be changed to 2+1+MVR, and the two effects in the multi-effect system can be used as one effect of the modified MVR system.
7. The five-effect evaporation system can be modified into a 2+1+MVR system, using two of the multi-effect evaporation systems as one effect of the modified MVR system. Alternatively, the first three effects can be modified into a 2+1+MVR system to maximize the material concentration, with the remaining moisture used in the last two effects of the evaporation system.
8: For some materials that are prone to clogging, consider switching to a four-body three-effect MVR or a three-effect four-body MVR.
